Laptop Probook 470 G2 no power

Hi,

 

Allow me to ask you for some support on below issue.  I have already tried the serch option, but I was not able to find any similar issue.

 

Wen pluging in the power adaptor the following happens:

- charging led blinking (white)

- power button led is ON

- Caps lock led is ON

- screen is blank,  nothing happens.

- laptop seems to be warm  near the vent area after a while.

 

I have tried removing SSD, RAM, battery, holding down power button for approx a minute for several times...another power adapter,  problem remains.   Any Idea?

failed to install OS windows 10 pro , and failed to login o bios , i don't have the admin password

I have Elitebook 8570W,

i try to install new OS, but failed to install it and the system can't able to complete the installation and repeate the process many times.

I try to login to bios, but unable to login because i don't have the Bios administrator password.

 

i need your help to reset the bios password.

HP pavilion Screen is dark can’t access computer. Not sure if it’s in sleep or hibernate mode but it won’t come on to access the unit. power and led, fan are on.

Windows 10 updated.  Did update & shut down.

Turned system on, black screen, blue letter, asking for Administrator or Power on password

Fails after 3rd time.

gives disabled message and code  i 63022752

 

What are my next options?

Well, I try to perform HP Pcs Test but... notebook goes into sleep mode. So tests, which need more time then 30 sec were markt as "interrupted". I did not try to update video drivers and BIOS - I have no time to dance whole day around my computer. Yes may be problem is somewhere betin BIOS and Windows. May be somewhere in ragestry. But I did not find it

Thanks for trying the diagnostics. It is clear as daylight that it is a hardware issue as it goes into sleep mode in the F2 diagnostics page also. The computer needs to be repaired.

For that model you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

 

Just to note:

 

Do not try removing the RTC/BIOS battery.  It will not remove the password, but it will reset the clock - as SMC files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the SMC will cause it to fail.
