Hi
Glad to hear that it is working again!
HI
Welcome to HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.
I understand that the mouse pad does not work well after an update. What is the product number of your chromebook? HP Notebook PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number, Serial Number or Product Number?
You can try the system recovery if it is the update caused the issue:
HP Chromebook and Chromebox - Performing a System Recovery (Chrome OS)
Let me know how it goes.
If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the "Accept as Solution" button down below in this message. If you wish to say "thanks" for my effort to help, click the "thumbs up" to give me Kudos.

Hey
Give this document a try, as it's based on troubleshooting blink codes: HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code. Specifically check the section called 'Notebook battery power LED blinks'.
Please get back to me with the results.
Cheers,
TechSurge.
I have this laptop for several days now, and everything was fine. After adding a new M.2 drive, and trying to change the boot order, I now can't enter the bios. It always boot to the new drive.
When I press <esc>, f9 or f10, the system shutdown, and restart. If I don't do anything it boots directly to the new drive. I don't see the bios version, the <esc> lines when I boot anymore.
I could not find anyway to get around this problem. I really would like to be able to boot from the original drive.
product number is K3G33EA#ABU
its a HP chromebook 14.
I have tried the system recovery to a SD card but when i put it back in nothing runs and i cannot open any of the files

I have a new hp laptop. I need to access the bios setup. After I press the power button and then the esc key the startup menu appears. F1, F2, F9, and F10 bios setup is listed. How do I access the F10 function. There's no F keys listed on the keyboard. The up and down arrows don't do anything. Pressing the fn key doesn't do anything either. Any help would be appreciated.
I solved my own problem. if you still have a working windows system (like I did), then you can download the "Hp Performance Advisor" for your computer from HP support site (if it's not already installed on your computer).
Then you run it, and Click on the "Your Computer" icon. In the block diagram click on the "Bios" icon (top right corner).
After that you have access to the Bios and can modify it as you wish. I clicked on "Restore Factory Defaults" which was a mistake as I had already upgraded to Windows 10, and when I rebooted It looked for Windows 7. I had a backup so no big problem, I restored from the backup, and everything is working again.
Hi on my Hp notebook, I rebooted it and logged on. Initially, it was stuck on "Preparing Windows" for about 15 Minutes but after that it's been stuck on "Just a moment" for a very long time now. Can you please tell me what I to do in order to fix this and start using my laptop normally again?
I assume that unplugging the battery was the solution to this....I just wish I didnt have to take it apart to do it!
Just glad is back up & running! Thanks!!!
My HP pavilion G6-2230us laptop wasn't registering the charger being plugged in at all the other day and now it is dead and won't turn back on even with the charger being plugged in, what do I do?
