So , you have to do two things:
#1:
- Right click the battery icon and go to "Power Options"
- Click "change plan setting" (you have to edit the one you are currently using)
- In there , find and click " Changed advanced power settings"
-scroll down to : Display
+ open the drop down
-in the drop down find and set your "dimmed display brightness" to the same values as "display brightness".
(Mine are all set to 100%. if you have 80% in display brightness on batter, then set it to the same percentage in dimmed display brightness on battery (in this case: 80% too).
- Do the same for plugged in / charging (set dimmed display brightness and display brightness to the same value)
the reason for doing this is that in case the screen does still dim , it shouldnt make a difference because it is dimming to the same value, hence cancelling the action out. Theoretically speaking, of course.
-Apply/Save Changes and exit-

#2:
In Windows 8:
- Press windows keyboard button + Q (this will promp a search)
- type in AMD and it hould find an amd control centre
(i find this: amd VISION Engine Control Cente, try to find something similar)
*in here you will have similar options as in the battery power options. it seems these driver settings overwrite the battery power plan settings.
- Click on "Power"
and then "Power Profiles"
- There , the first option should be "Dim the display" .
Change it to "Never"
-Apply/Save Changes and exit-

If you have windows 7 , i would suggest searching AMD (just search amd and then try to find the application that should be AMD control centre or utility? power options maybe?_(im just guessing here)_)
You should have battery plan options for all windows versions and if it is an hp laptop then it has all the driver utility centres installed already so you just have to find them. They are usually in common places like program files. if it cant be found there or doesnt come up on search then what you can do is to go to: programs and features and see what you find there. That way you see the exact name of the app.
It took me 3 days to solve this. Hope it works for you guys. Hope that helps!
and if you have any solutions to my above mentioned issues , please do let me know and I will start a new thread
