Learn How to Post and More. I understand that the recovery CD is not completing the recovery on your computer, and I would be happy to guide you towards a resolution! 

 

Since the System Recovery CD continues to freeze, I recommend following this document on Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive. This should help you acquire a replacement recovery disc to recover your notebook.
