Did you try it without using the battery? And do you have another battery that you can test it with or another adapter to test it as well to determine if it is batter or charger related problem? And is your laptop AMD chipset? Anytime you get a failure or smartdrive failure on HDD that usually means you will need to replace the hard drive. But first try to use the laptop without the battery and see what happens. Also make sure your system has the lastest firmware as well.
