Incompatibility between MediaTek Bluetooth stack and HyperV causes crash at reboot

New HP Envy 17 Leap Motion SE NB PC (F7T69EA) - which I upgraded to 8.1 Pro.

Nice box, but when I enable the HyperV support in the bios and then enable HyperV in the OS features,  the system crashes at the required reboot for this change and requires a rollback to the previous restore point.

A search on the net suggested that there may be a compatibility issue between HyperV and the MediaTek bluetooth stack.

And sure enough, if I uninstall the bluetooth driver, I can enable HyperV and all works well - except I now have no bluetooth support.

If I allow the HP support assistant to reinstall the latest Mediatek Bluetooth Software Driver for Windows 8.1 (SoftPaq number SP65804, Version 11.0.752.0Dp2) then again the system crashes on the required reboot for this update and requires a rollback to a restore point prior to the SoftPaq installation.

I've tried several repairs, reinstallations, but the issue is solidly repeatable.

A search around the internet suggests that this problem is occurring on several HP laptops, but I have seen no official response from HP anywhere.   And it has apparently spanned several previous releases of Mediatek drivers back as far as V8.something.

Any suggestions please on how I can have both HyperV support and bluetooth support on this system?

Many thanks,

Dave.
