Went thru all the disgnostic tests and it was determined that I need a new hard drive. ON A TWO-MONTH-OLD COMPUTER! **bleep**??? And if I don't want to wait 3+ weeks for it to be fixed, I have to pay $49 plus tax (because the fee isn't insulting enough). I've owned nothing but HP products for the last 20 years and never have I been more disgusted with the lack of accountability. Your laptop failed in less than two months and I have to pay to have it fixed. This is the last HP anything I'll ever buy.

You can follow the command prompt follow the below steps.
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F8 key for startup options.
- On the menu, select command prompt.

Right click on the taskbar and select setting.
In the settings page turn on "Lock the taskbar"
Turn off "Automatically hide Taskbar in the desktop"

Were you told that you have to pay for Repair?! Something isn't right there. And it usually takes a week to get it done and back.
Btw,HP doesn't make the hard drive used in it.They use drives from various drive manufacturers.

They told me 12-15 business days. I can't wait that long. So I have to pay for in-home repair that they couldn't schedule for another week. They should just send me a new computer, free of charge, like most retailers do when you purchase a lemon. But HP would rather punish the paying customer than make a horrible situation right,

Notebook shuts down when activate caps lock
HI there community,
I never had troubles with my notebook until last week. My notebook shuts down when i press caps lock, also when i don"t use my laptop keyboard, but use the screen keyboard instead. First I searched for hotkeys but that wasn't the problem. Later I created a new user on my laptop, but after pressing caps lock my notebook still shuts down.
When I press caps lock, my laptop will not shut down like I use the shut down button in windows. When i have apps like Word or Chrome running in the background, when I press caps lock it shuts down without restoring my papers on Word. When my laptop is shutting down the led indicator from caps lock is on, untill my computer is complety shut down.
In the end I changed my laptop back to fabric settings, but that didn't work either.
I hope that someone can help me with this issue. It becomes very annoying!
