Yes i had the same exact problem. There was one youtube video on baking the motherboard at 350 degrees for 3 minutes. Sounded silly but after having tried everything else, I figured why not? My computer was over 6 years old and I figured I was going to get a new one anyway. So I did it. And lo and behold, It worked!! Now the bad news. After about one week of use, it reverted back to the same problem.

 I was also thinking of replacing the motherboard. But after reading this forum, I'm not so sure. Someone mentioned a part number for replacement. What part was this and what does it do? I appreciate the response.
