Welcome to the HP Community! Sorry to hear about the issues with the cursor. Is this is a driver issue let's look at restoring the original TouchPad driver. I have included a link below that will show you how to use the HP Recovery Manager to restore the original software. The original driver should be listed as Synaptics TouchPad driver.
