Hello;

Thanks for the prompt reply!

OK The only message I ever noticed at shutdown, is it would bring up the black screen saying "an application is running in the background. Do you wish to force a restart?" Before I could respond the screen would simply go black and the power light would blink.

Today I have had NO problems restarting even though I just updated Glary Utilities and Cyberlink web cam software.

No problems when I restart on my own either.

I used the event viewer to see the applications that were hanging and stangely enough, there was only one "Application Hang" on 08/06/2014!!  I went back 2 weeks to when I first experienced the computer go into hibernation instead of restarting.

The only other thing I see are frequent errors  listing "WMI". And one "error for "Sign In Assistant" There are about half a dozen a day. I don't know if it causes the computer to hang on restart or not.

I have included 4 jpgs that show each error.

In the meantime I am going to check out how to keep notebook from over heating.

Thanks again and hopefully this will give you the information you need to assess.
