Hi,
Shut down the notebook - do this by holding down the left Shift key as you click on Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.
Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Select the Diagnostic Menu option ( f2 ) and run the Hard Drive test(s). Post back with the details of any error messages.
