HP Pavilion dv7 Black screen with constant beep and slash key constant pressed

A little while ago, my laptop began to show this black screen and constant beeping. i wasnt able to do anything, unless i pressed one of the F buttons. To start my laptop i had to choose my operating system and go from there. Also, i noticed that when the log in screen came up, it was filled up as if i was holding down a key. I noticed it was the backwards slash key  under the backspace that was doing it. If i press any keys directly next to it, it also triggers the slash key and begins to be pressed down for a small while. Is this whats causing my black screen? how do i go about fixing this issue?

Also, sometimes the slash button doesnt even work.
