I'll try suggesting something you can do:
First try a hard reset & check if had solved the issue:

Test for hardware failure - hard drive & memory both quick & extensive tests, following link might help you:

Have you updated the BIOS, if not update it from here, select your OS & download save & install. No other programs should be running in the background, disconnect all the external peripheral devices, keep wifi network on, Plug system into AC adapter power during the whole process.

If these don't work, do system file checker scan from command prompt as Administrator, Right click start menu to run command prompt as administrator:
type:
sfc \scannow
Wait for the results,
restart system
if there are errors, run it once again
Also
Keep Antivirus software disabled before windows update & try updating again. Then restart, enable antivirus- update antivirus too.
If nothing works
Do a System restore to a previous good state, at least 24-hours before the problem started & do the things stated above then re update.
