Happee,

I gave up and bought a Dell Venue 11 Pro. I am  going to sell this X2. You might as well sell it while you can as HP gave up on it almost a year ago.

I have called their customer support lines at all hours of the day and night and haven't had a continental US citizen ever answer.

I was the head IT guy for my last company and I never had the issues I have had trying to resolve my issues with the X2, and some printer driver issues with my last AIO HP Officejet printer. In the last three years or so, they have gone from a company that stood behind their product quality to one that forgets that their million dollar mistakes are not mine.

They should have put a team on writing drivers immediately like Lenovo and Dell has done. I have three desktops and three tablets, two 11.6" tablets, and my newest 10.8 " tablet. My printers, desktops, laptops, and monitors were pretty much all HP until last year. After the hassles with this X2 that won't shut down or boot up properly, printer drivers not done for existing printers and system hardware drivers for their tablets not done at all for Windows 8.1. their newest tablet, the HP Omni Pro 10.1" tablet with the same 3770 Atom quad core as my Dell can't run long enough for the local Office Depot to sell them. It freezes requiring a reset several times a day. HP talked about selling their computer division off. They might as well because they aren't doing anything but the minimum.

Last year I switched to a Brother Laser AIO printer for little cost per copy and faster scans than the HP. I switched to a Lenovo Desktop and now a Dell 2720 AIO.

My last HP products are my wife's four year old desktop and this X2. Pity because the eye appeal and low weight and smooth feel lets me work all day on it in my recliner until it freezes up. I now have my Dell Venue 11 Pro, and my wife has her Lenovo Lynx 11.6" tablet which works, never freezes up, had Windows 8.1 drivers ready just this past April 2014 that worked! She runs 8.1, and for me to get 8.1 I bought the Dell Venue 11.

Let's try a futile question. HP support, have you resolved the graphics drivers issues and other issues to go to 8.1 yet?

If you start with anything other than drivers dated today or later, then please give us all an example of any Envy X2 that is running Windows 8.1 without issues.

For that matter, is anyone running the Envy X2 on 8.0, the Windows version on which it was designed to run, with no frequent freezes, inability to boot, or any of the other issues seen here??

Anybody?
