Re: HP 2000 - 2c29WM stuck in recovery

Well, that bios setup's a bit of a pita, so to speak. I guess I'm spoiled - my desktop is a W8/W7 dual OS custom build on a Gigabyte board with UEFI bios, but not a true "dual-boot". It's set so the Windows Boot Manager (with some tweaked performance) starts the W8 install from one SSD, while the W7 is set up for general usage on a second SSD. Restart, hit the Del key, two right arrow clicks, hit enter, two boot choices, hit enter again, and I'm running a different machine in the same box. Takes about five seconds, excluding start time.

Built it that way to allow high performance for the W8 and the video and audio editing apps on it, and standard perfomance for the W7 for surfing and Office apps (which don't need the cpu overclocked and the apps threaded to the 16Gb's of memory).

The laptop is my home to work carry-around and such, and had little problems with it until this week.

Oh, good - second try at the iso came in at full speed. Back in a few with the results.
