Yeah - - Fine - -
I had this problem licked back in September (see my earlier posts) - - but this is my Daughter's computer - - and after being hounded mercilessly by the HP "assistant" she inadvisedly updated her BIOS to F53.
THANKS HP - - you killed her WiFi connectivity - - AGAIN.
I need to roll her BIOS back to whatever it WAS in September 2013 - - but the oldest BIOS available on-line is F43 from January 2014 - - which I have also seen causing complaints of WiFi death.
Yes - - we have the usual issue Intel WiFi card - - it DOES NOT EVEN SHOW UP in the device manager now.
I have reapplied the Softpak mentioned in my previous note - - no help.
I have gone through the usual steps for re-identifying a lost WiFi card:
Unplug the computer, remove the battery, remove the WiFi Card, unplug the back-up battery
Wait 5 minutes
Plug in the computer and boot up, then shut back down.
Reinstall all the above components and boot back up
NO JOY - - No WiFi in the device manager.
So - - Pleasie Pie let me know where I can find a copy of the BIOS that was available in September 2013 so that I can re-install that and hopefully get her computer back to normal ??
I need the Insyde BIOS Ver F.1c
