Since loading new drivers from HP and speaking with a geek from Best Buy, seems like there might have been a short or a "rubbing " of the ribbon cable connecting board to monitor. Have not had "experience" since, but then again, I have set PC to not turn off for any reason..Seems a little extreme , but am in the process of relocating and don't want to lose touch in process of moving.
