I was excited to own my first laptop computer back in June 2013 and purchased "HP ENVY x2 11-g010nr Product Number: C2K61UA but from day one I have had "freeze issues". Interactive sign-in process failed message came up and windows closed. When I signed back in, the screen was black. I resert to factory settings with a flash drive that was mailed by HP, last summer.
Last Summer I got SDBUS_internal_error messages and never found a fix for it. I upgraded to Windows 8.1, and no longer get the SDBUS error message yet get the APC_INDEX_MISMATCH blue screen error message on a more frequent, constant basis. Tough to remember the sequence of events as I've had so many issues with this laptop since purchasing it in May, 2013. I no longer get SDBUS_internal_error blue screen error message yet everyday, multiple times a day, I get, APC_index_mismatch (wdf01000.sys) blue screen error message, which locks my system while it sends data (to where, for four dozen times) and sometimes it restarts, sometimes I have to manually shut down and restart.
I reset to factory setting and reinstalled Windows 8.1 in Nov. with no success to clear up the error messages. I then uninstalled Windows 8.1, installed Windows 8 in hopes it would resolve the error message. It did NOT. On Saturday, February 22, 2014, I again, reset to factory settings and reinstalled Windows 8.1. That did not solve the problem. I've researched this error message on Windows, HP, and many other forums and can't beleive how many computers/people have this very same problem. This is unacceptable!! Needless to say, I have not been happy to own this HP Envy X2!!
Yesterday, Sunday, February 23, 2014, I installed Windows debugging WDK Driver Kit in hopes it would solve the issues (even though it's for Windows 7) and Visual Studio 2013. It did not solve the APC_index_mismatch, blue screen error message. It's happended five (5) times, just today, Monday, 2/24/14 in a short four (4) hours Ugh!!
I have had to reinstall Synaptics, twice, since these error messages. Once becasue my keyboad stopped working, the other because my mouse pointer stopped working.
I am at a loss and need clear step by step instructions (simplistic terms please) to resolve this issue once and for all. If your response can not resolve it, I need to send my laptop to HP and have them fix or replace it. My warranty is good until 5/2014.
I use Shell Start Up Menu so if you're step-by-step instructions could go through this avenue, that would be helpful. If not, I need to know what folder name, and where exactly to go on my system. I am not that techie so I hope your explanations are in lamin's terms.
