I understand the computer's display has gone black since updating the BIOS. I will do my best to assist you with this! To commence troubleshooting, I would encourage you to try the troubleshooting in this HP document: Computer Does Not Start and the LEDs Blink or the Computer Beeps
This document contains relevant troubleshooting steps such as resetting and cleaning the notebook. It also allows you to pinpoint the issue you are experiencing, based on the flashing LED pattern, which is a BIOS corruption failure. You may need to re-update the BIOS.
