PLEASE HELP!!
I have a "HP Pavilion dv6-7095ca" with product number B8D00UA and it has been freezing on me lately, in most cases in the first 10-15min of it starting up which would lead me in to shutting it off by holding down the power button, so I ran a Hard Disk test on the "HP Advanced System Diagnostics" and these were the results:
HD SMART Check: Passed
HD Short DST: Failed
Failure ID: M4MX90-67571B-QFPK1G-60W103
Product ID: B8D00UA#ABL
Hard Disk 1...
Does this mean my hdd is damaged???, and if so, is there any chance I can recover all my info so I can transfer to a new hard drive, and If this may be the case, how will I backup my stuff off the current hdd and transfer to the new hdd. Aswell my concern was how will I get back my authentic copy of Windows 7 that came pre-installed on the "damaged hdd" if I replace it with a new HDD??? I never made recovery disks for my computer and I have files from my first PC back from 98' on this laptop which unfortanetly have no back of what so ever :/ PLEASE HELP ME HP!!!!
