efficient battery performance
so i was wondering how to ensure effective and efficient performance of my battery given that its inbuilt. do i unplug the ac adapter when the battery is 100% charged or i can just allow the ac adapter to still remain plugged as i rely on external power ie electricity other than the battery. Do i run a risk of destroying my battery if i still feed on electricity after the battery is fully charged

Laptop stuck on startup screen.
I turn my laptop on and I get the normal screen with the HP logo and the loading circle, but it doesn't continue on from there. It just seems like it is endlessly trying to boot the system. I have the laptop set to go to sleep after 20 minutes of inactivity, which it did before I started having this problem. I wasn't around when the laptop went to sleep to notice if anything strange happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Model number is 1y1y0y, in case that helps.

I hope you did not pay too much for it since the dv9000 is known to possibly have serious problems with the motherboard. Still, we would need to know a bit more about it to figure out what it is possible to do. Some of them came with as little as 1 gig of memory and that would explain why it is so slow and would not be expensive to fix. Look on the bottom of the laptop for the full model number.

Power LED Lights doesn't turn on
Power LED Lights in my laptop are not getting turned on when I connect my Laptop to an power outlet
I have tried these
a) Replaced the AC Power adapter
b) Removing the batter and connected the Power adapter to an poweroutlet
c) Did a hard reset by pressing the power button for more than 60 seconds
But in none of these scenarios my power led lights doesn't turn on.
What might be the issue here?
