This after I was told that only a board replacement would solve the problem
Thanks again
Hi!
I understand you are getting 100% disk usage error on the PC.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
Please try the steps recommended below.
Type “task manager” in the Windows search bar and select Task Manager:
In the Processes tab, look at the % at the top of the Disk column. If it’s 100% (or it’s close and it has a red background), something is causing your hard disk to over-work.
On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and X at the same time, then select Command Prompt (Admin).
Click Yes at the User Account Control window prompt.
A black window will display. This is the command prompt window. In this window, type in the following command:
net.exe stop "Windows search"
Hit Enter on your keyboard.
Disable SuperFetch
SuperFetch helps to decrease boot time and make must-load programs more efficiently. However, it has been identified as a potential cause of disk performance issues in Windows 8 and later versions of Windows, including Windows 10. Here’s how to stop this service:
1) On your keyboard, press Windows key and X at the same time, then choose Command Prompt (Admin).
2) Click Yes at the User Account Control prompt.
3) The command prompt will once again display. Type in the following command:
4) Hit Enter on your keyboard.
5) Wait for a few minutes to see if your computer starts performing better.
Also, try updating BIOS and chipset drivers on the PC and check if it helps.

Hi!
I bought a second hand HP 2000 425NR and there is a BIOS password I cannot figure out. After a few attempts, it showed the error 'System Disabled, 88836059.' Is there any way I can get in? I really want to be able to control my PC's BIOS. As of now I can't even access the operating system.
Thank you,
Emmanuel

You should first follow the instructions in this post to check Win10 compatibilty before forcing Win10 onto that PC: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/manually-run-windows-10-compatibility-appraiser
You are most welcome !
Sorry, I have no idea how you could obtain the correct details. These may be available in internal HP systems and can probably be seen by technicians, or if there is no specific information, some generic may be entered. No idea, sorry.
It's the technician in the service centers who are more familiar with these specifics.
Hi:
Restart the PC, and enter this unlock passcode...37794099
Dean the end user went to the local HP Service Provider and they were able to tatoo the serial number on the system board.
According to the the end user the HP Service Provider said the new serial number was tatoo on the system board but it needed to be program to recognize it. He could not specify any more what they did to resolve the issue.
The service provider charged the end user a diagnostic fee of about $50 to tatoo the system board which was a reasonable price the user was willing to pay.
I am not sure why the tatoo was not burn correctly when the system board was repalced but thanks to the local HP Service Provider the issue was resolved at a reasonable price.
Thank you for your assistance.

You're very welcome.
Thank you for all the support so far! Sorry for adding more and more questions to the main topic, but when I look at the user guide I see that the HDD has some kind of cage where it stays, but the SSD is probably smaller, so how is it gonna fit properly? Oh and also I think the HDD just totally died. When I try to boot it it gives me a blue screen of death 2 times in a row saying CRITICAL PROCESS DIED.
Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if clean installing W10 allows the notebook to boot up and work normally.
You can make a W10 USB flash drive installer with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, using an 8 GB flash drive using another Windows PC, if your PC is not working.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
Here are the steps to create the W10 USB flash drive installer...
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10. You want 64 bit.
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
In my laptop.
UEFI Enabled
Secure boot option greyed out and not selectable
Please help me .
I appreciate your efforts for writing back to us.
If you are installing a regular SSD on the PC. You need to install the SSD using a hard drive caddy.
You can search in google or any online computer store for 2.5 inches hard drive caddy.
Hope this answers your query!
Take Care! :)
Thanks for the explanation! Can you please send me an example link for Amazon?
You can use an optical drive hard drive caddy and connect the SSD to the laptop.
Please find the link for hard drive caddy from Amazon. Click Here
Hope this works!
Take Care! :)
