I have an up to date recovery USB key, but how do i access the BIOS to make the PC boot fom the recovery Key
Hi,
So I got to a point where chkdsk /f/r didnt return errors on the last stage.
on stage 4 "looking for bad clusters in user file data" there are a few files reported with issues
on stage 5 "looking for bad free clusters" we can see
Adding 1127 bad clusters to the Bad Clusters File.
CHKDSK discovered free space marked as allocated in teh master file table (MFT) bitmap.
Windows has made corrections to the file stystem.
No further action is required....
After this... still no luck....
So after i backed up my data to an external disk I tried to install windows to C:
And then I got the error when selecting the primary partition:
"We could not create a new partition or locate an existing one.For more info see the setup log files"....
I found in the link below someone suggesting to use bootable DVD instead of a USB...
https://www.intowindows.com/windows-10-we-couldnt-create-a-new-partition-or-locate-existing-one/
Any ideas?
My HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop wouldn't boot and none of the auto-repair options worked so I ran the system diagnostics in the BIOS and the hard drive failed the long DSL test, giving me the error code UC105W-8299GA-MFPWLK-61E203. Is the hard drive broken and what are the options for replacing/fixing it?
Your very welcome

Hi:
Yes, you are correct...the code indicates Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure, which means you will have to replace the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
In order to help you further, I would need to know the full model number or product number of your notebook.
The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.
Please do not post the serial number.
OK thanks for clearing that up- model number is 15-ak002na. Would it be possible to just use an external hard drive to run the laptop instead of replacing the internal one?
Hi, can somebody help me please, I purchased a used to probook 450 g3, serial number 5cd7032h6l product number w3r33pp#abu, the hard drive was wiped and am unable to enter the bios to reinstall a new operating system, I'm not to sure where to go from here.
Thanks

Hi
I have bought a second hand zbook and have found it is still covered by top level warenty as it has recently died. I have non of the original paperwork and some of the hardware has changes such as ram and hdd as my needs have changed. Hello,
I forgot my administrator password or power on password on my HP 15 - f272wm. I also I'm pretty sure I forgot the password to start Windows. Can anyone help with a recovery code or where I can find a recovery code for my specific model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Hi:
Enter any power on password 3 times, and the PC should generate a system disabled code.
Post the code you receive including the capital or lower case 'I' 'i'
