hp elitebook 820 g1 wont boot
i have a elitebook 820 g1,
that suddenly while working shutdown and wont boot up again,
the first led on the front is lid up white
the second led keeps flashing orange and the caps lock light is on when i plug in the power cord,
removed the battery and power adapter and tried to reset by holding the power button for 1 minutes, but this didnt help
what does the flashing led mean? and why is the caps lock on?

For that model you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.
Just to note:
Do not try removing the RTC/BIOS battery. As it will not remove the password, but it may reset the clock and as SMC files are time coded, a large disparity between the system clock and the time encoded in the SMC may cause it to fail.

I am locked out of my PC with and administrator/power on password. It says "System disabled [i 93206668]"
Is there a code to bypass this?

My laptop has no peripherals attached to it..
I alredy run the diagnostics tests for the hard drive and I got this failure:

After i try it three times without success i get the message System Disabled [i 94031168]

Hp Probook 450 G2 doesnt boot and no screen
Hello HP community,
We have an HP Probook 450 G2 which doesnt work.
When i press the power button i hear the fan work hard but the laptop doesnt boot up.
The screen stays black, even when i attach an second sreen via VGA or HDMI the screen is also black.
The only error the Notebook gives is that the caps lock LED keeps blinking.
The Wifi led is orange and the sound off button Led is white.
I hope someone could help me out.

Hi,
I've tried with Secure Boot in both <Enabled> and in <Disabled> mode - no luck there.
I can move 'USB Diskette on Key/USB Hard Disk' up and down the list, but it doesn't make any difference when I try to restart the notebook. It always comes up with 'Boot Device Not Found'.
When looking at the UEFI Boot Order I wonder why there's an arrow next to 'OS Boot Manager' - it stays with it even if I move 'OS Boot Manager' up and down the list. Is the arrow (>) significant?

The error message I get 'DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL"
i also try to install the latest BIOS update and it fails because "Unable to open BIOS Signature file"
Rather than instructions to defeat the auto reboot feature, I'd like for HP to address the root problem with the BIOS update (Ryzen 5 Envy laptop). It seems they haven't cracked it, per the almost monthly issues of patches since mid 2017.
Any news on fixing the BIOS?
