Hello
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
HP has created an article about such issues you experience now >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01732674
You need to identify how exactly it blinks to get the pattern. This will help you find the root case.
4 blinks/flashes may be a sign of a thermal issue
wrote: My Paivlion G6 does not start. When pressing power button the led located on that button blinks once and nothing happens. It does not matter if pushed with or without battery pack attached. I tried both hard reset and cmos clock reset. Does it mean the motherboard is damaged or it's something else?
Thank you,

1 blink/flash may be a sign of a processor issue.
Please, check the article and follow the steps based on your situations.
If you did try everything but nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Hello
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Can you take a picture of the errors and post them back here - use your camera or smartphone ?
Could you please post the entire code of the test results ?
Hello
My reply to you may not be exactly what you are looking for.
Personally, I do not recommend you do it unless you experience some issues with your existing BIOS and you are sure that the new BIOS will fix it.
General recommendation I provide to users/customers is NOT to upgrade BIOS/UEFI unless they experience any kind of specific BIOS/UEFI issue. Updating just for updaing and just for using the latest verson is not solution. Any kind of update (no matter for what and who relesed it) can fix 2 issues but may introduce 10 more issues. Additionally, upgrading the BIOS (for any vendor) poses more risks because BIOS recovery is not that easy as compared to typical software updates IF something goes wrong.
Same applies for Windows Updates, OS update, drivers updates, etc - upgrade/update IF you have issues which you know are fixed in the newer version or for some severe security issues. Otherwise, keep the existing version as long as possible.
Another opinion on this matter >> https://www.howtogeek.com/136881/htg-explains-do-you-need-to-update-your-computers-bios/
Sure thing.
the first x360 received from HP had a missaligned case which kept on creaking and there was a gap between bottom plastic case and the aluminium upper.
Second x360 which was a replacement wouldn’t charge. Checked power supply etc etc but it was a hardware fault.
My current replacement has now developed a fault which is a combination of not waking up from sleep or alternatively a screen driver fault.
I have used HP products from the HP41CX since 1988 and until this year continued to use them. Now after 4 days lost productivity caused by what I consider to be poor manufacturing QA/QC I am off to find a new supplier - taking my company which also uses HP with me.... all very sad.
Really want to thank you for that speedy response . IT worked. I'm very happy. Have a blessed new year my friend.
Good morning,
Could you please help to understand the "option" VT-X on the Bios system.
I would like to know if this option affects the Dual boot installation ?
As I understood, VT-x allows running simultaneous windows and virtual machine (VM) on the same processor. Is there an impact when usig a dual boot on the machine ? what is the result if it is disabled ?
Thank you in advance for your help and support.

I am having the same issue as outlined in this post.
That post never received any replies from HP and has since been locked.
Please note this only occurs if Thunderbolt security is enabled in the BIOS. If I disable the Thunderbolt security in the BIOS, I can get it to boot while connected to the docking station.
I have already updated all pertinent drivers and the firmware. The Thunderbolt software detects the dock and I have set the connection mode to "Always Connect". All ports on the dock work without any issues. The laptop just won't boot if connected to the dock.
Exactly like the link above, I have to boot the laptop prior to connecting it to the G2 dock.
I forget my bios admin password.
This is the code i get when i try for 3 times.

I got a brand new HP Notebook - 15 - db000na for Christmas and it is running very slowly. It takes a long time to actually turn on and if I try to use any apps/google something it takes a while before anything happens.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Megan.
Here are the specifications:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06078882
It has an AMD E2-9000e processor and we do see quite a few messages like this concerning systems with that processor.
As you can see it is only about half as powerful as an A6-9220 which itself is a bit of a low end processor.
If you have the chance to return it and get something else I encourage you to do so. Otherwise your best bet is to dumb down Windows 10 to turn off all visual effects.

Hi @REO51ST
I updated the drivers and firmware prior to my original post.
Welcome to the HP Support Community
First thing would be to do a Disk Cleanup.
Check everything except Delivery Optimization Files
Then do a Disk Defrag. “OPTIMIZE”
Then go to Advanced System Settings.
In the Performance box click on SETTINGS.
Click on Adjust for Best Performance.
Click on APPLY.
Then click on the ADVANCED tab.
In the Virtual Memory box click on CHANGE.
Uncheck everything except Custom Size:
Set Initial Size (MB): to a number higher than Recommended:
Then set Maximum Size (MB): To a number higher than the Initial Size (MB)
Click SET, OK and reboot.

There is no 100% correct answer here but I will give a slightly different view. Set the paging file to the same number for initial and maximum. The dynamic resizing of the paging file can slow down performance. I would set it to 1000 or even 768 initial and the same for maximum. Paging is bad. When the system is using the page file it means the memory (RAM) is full. So tasks that should be happening in fast memory are happening in very slow hard drive space. When you have a low amount of RAM paging is a constant threat. Two ways to avoid it. 1. Increase the RAM in the computer. If you have 8 gigs or more you can likely
set a very small page file. Also you can upgrade the very slow hard drive to a faster SSD so that "hitting the page file" is not so much an anchor on the system. However, I hesitate to tell you to spend money on that machine as there is no upgrade that can make it a competent performer.
