I need help with my hp windoes computer it says no boot device someone please help
Hello.
Forgotten BIOS password. Could somebody help? Thank you.
Does there happen to be an external device connected to your notebook when the auto restarts and error message appear?
How about configuring your notebook to produce automatic memory dumps. Once that is done you can provide memory dumps to see which hardware device has drivers that are causing the power state failure.
The next time an error happens, you can go to the dump file location and copy the entire file to notepad and post it here in your thread or provide a link to the memory dump text file stored in your favorite cloud storage. (i.e. DropBox or OneDrive)
You can have the file analyzed on your own if you like at http://www.osronline.com/page.cfm?name=Analyze and post the result here.
If this sort of troubleshooting is a bit over the top for you, an available option is to save important files to an external storage device and then reinstall Windows 10.
I know i need the SMC.bin file to be able to reset the password, problem is i can't get in touch with HP support for my country (Serbia), and when i tried reaching out to US support, they said they can't help me because its against their policy to help anyone outside US. Do i have any alternatives, like international support or something?

Never believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see, especially in a post of mine.
Hi,
Thanks for taking your time to help me out.
I'd not done any resent updates so I didn't see the need to do troubleshooting at that time.
So, I thought of redoing my thermal paste and it turns out that I'd done my heat sink screws too tight because after reassembling my laptop with minimal pressure on the heat sink screws, everything went back to normal.
Regards
Well, i tried the recovery, now my pc can't even boot.......after pressing winkstarte key +b, caps lock started blinking, fan works work, display doesn't turn on and the power button doesnt work, only way to turn it off was to take out the battery, now it does this every time i try to boot

However,
Am currently using an external keyboard, but it's still frozen with the number lock light on.
I've tried uninstall the driver then rebooting it but that didn't help.
Kindly assist.
Aaaaand now im completely and uterly screwed, it doesnt respond to any command
Hi
This is of no use either then as you already tried it, and it failed...
Yeah, that not only doesn't work but it messed up my PC. Now i just want it to boot
Ok. The computer is still working, though it hangs after a bit. I tried to run windows backup but it got stuck on 95% done. Since it won't back up, is it possible to copy files one at a time as a way to save everything for a new hard drive?
Let me add that I ran chkdsk and norton disk doctor and neither showed any problem or bad sectors.
If you can, go into your user profile, and copy all of the file folders (Documents, Downloads, Favorites, Music, Videos, etc.) to a portable hard drive.
If you kept the SWSetup folder (located in C:\SWSetup) on your PC, also copy that to a portable hard drive, as it should contain all of the original program and driver files that came with your PC. You can install any programs from that folder that aren't listed on the support page.
Then after you reinstall W10, you can simply copy and paste the file folders to your new user profile and they will overwrite the empty ones that were created.
It is doubtful that the PC threw a code for nothing.
If you don't want to replace the HDD, then I would back up any files from time to time that you don't want to lose.
It is not a matter of if a hard drive will fail, it is a matter of when.
Ok, so after dismantling it and checking everything was ok, i put it back together inserted the usb pressed the power button and just left it there, after 15 or so.mins i powered off, after i tried booting it again it showed a screen that said bios recovery completed and then booted into windows normaly.....still cant access bios tho...
